최태윤은 퍼포먼스를 중심으로 다양한 새로운 매체의 실험을 통해 현 시대의 문화에 대한 유머러스 하고 은유적인 작업을 한다. 프로젝트 기반으로 작업을 해서 엔지니어, 음악가, 만화가 등과 협업을 해왔다. 신체와 영상 (여행객의 카메라: 욕망의 대상, 사비나 미술관 2005, 길거리의 감시카메라: 한밤중, CTR 2006) 의 관계에서 시작되어 특정 지역과 도시 공간 (당신의 아침 산책을 파세요, 아트센터 나비 2005, 일시적 구조물과 순간적인 공간들 ISEA 2006) 의 이슈를 발명(invention) 보다는 교란(intervention)을 통하여 개입하는데 관심이 있다.

Taeyoon Choi is a young artist who creates performance and multimedia works using human body in relation with moving image, site, and time. While studying at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, he presented series of controversial happenings about culture and violence in public and gallery with art team Jangseung. Recently he started working on projects using locative media and wearable computer that deal with issues of locality and object of desire. Choi is finishing his Masters of Science at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology; Culture Technology program. His thesis is about media art in urban space. He lives and works in Seoul, Korea.
